Do Not Sell
Do Not Sell or Share My Info
Last updated: 2026-08-14
If you live in California (CCPA/CPRA), or in another US state with a comprehensive privacy law, you can require that your personal information not be sold or shared for cross-context behavioural advertising. This page sets out how to exercise that right with Planbriefs.
The Practice in Question
No money changes hands for your data. The relevant practice is this: where advertising runs, ad partners may receive cookie or device identifiers associated with your browser. Because ‘sale’ and ‘sharing’ are defined broadly in these statutes, that may qualify — so we offer the opt-out regardless.
You do not have to be a subscriber for this to apply — it covers anyone reading what we publish on planbriefs.com.
The Practical Result
Opting out affects personalisation only. Ads may still be shown, selected without your data. We do not restrict, downgrade, or charge differently for the site on account of an opt-out — that would be unlawful.
Making the Request
The automatic route is Global Privacy Control: enable it in your browser and this site respects it on every visit without you asking. Manual routes are the consent banner, where one is presented, and email to hello@planbriefs.com with ‘Do Not Sell or Share’ in the subject. No account or registration is needed.
The full list of applicable state rights lives in the State Privacy Notice.
